Description

This will be a standalone HR role managing the Manchester office.

The Firm employs over 350 staff firm wide.

The Manchester office is experiencing growth across various levels and so you will manage these on boarding processes also.

This role will cover the full remit of HR from recruitment to ER and you will report in to the Head of HR based in London.

You will work alongside the Partners on a daily basis to provide an effective HR service.

Ideally you will have experience in producing management information reports as well as general HR project whilst supporting HR colleagues within the other offices as necessary.

• Owning the recruitment process for the Manchester office from interviewing to offer and onboarding stage
• Updating job descriptions and designing interview case studies
• Supporting assessment days for the Trainee Solicitors
• Supporting the firm on the annual salary review process from salary bench-marking to organising salary review letters
• Supporting, guiding and coaching Partners and line managers on all people related and staffing issues
• Support staff on maternity / paternity / shared parental leave
• Supporting the firm on the leaver process and then also helping to put together a business case along with the Partner to recruit
• Ad hoc HR projects such as introducing an absence management policy and process

Profile

As the stand alone HR Manager based out of Manchester you will be comfortable managing your own day.

You will have recent experience of a similar working environment whereby you can coordinate the HR Function solely coupled with remote support from other offices.

You will have a professional working style along with a friendly and outgoing personality.

You must be able to communicate effectively to all areas of the business; grassroots to Senior Partner level.

Ideally you will have experience within a professional services / business services background.
