Job Purpose

The primary focus of the GRC Analyst role is to ensure that the cyber security team and the security programme will deliver meet the required level of compliance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Responsible as the SME to ensure the security programme and assigned projects meet the requirements of key standards namely ISO27K and the NIST Cyber framework

Technical

  • Responsible for developing and delivering a programme of security validation against current and future security technologies deployed by the bank.
  • Responsible for the ownership and facilitation to close-out of risk events assigned or generated by the security team.
  • Support project work from an IT security viewpoint as required, including the take on of new services and technologies.
  • Review output from security monitors and tools and escalate or take appropriate action accordingly
  • Respond appropriately to audit recommendations
  • Directly support the Head of Cyber Security in data analysis and commentary for various stakeholders including the board.

Procedural

  • Follow core processes and procedures such as change control and incident logging
  • Keep appropriate records and update documentation or checklists as applicable
  • Maintain awareness of security threat landscape pertaining to Paragon services and advise accordingly

People, Project and Budget

  • Be the key point of contact between the Cyber team and other risk teams within the bank including 2nd and 3rd line.

Communications

  • A high standard of written and verbal communication skills adequate to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • The ability to articulate risk and counter-measures to technical and non-technical teams and stakeholders.
