Description

Main Responsibilities

  • Implementing people strategy which supports business growth, ensuring the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
  • Maintaining a positive work culture in line with the values of the business
  • Providing pragmatic and professional expertise and advice on HR topics
  • Managing company recruitment and selection campaigns
  • Coordinating the on-boarding and induction processes for all new starters
  • Managing all applicant and employee data, keeping all relevant systems up to date and compliant
  • Ensuring that all Employee Relations activity is dealt with, fairly, professionally, and in line with statutory guidance, managing agreed risk
  • Coaching and assisting line managers to understand and effectively implement HR policies, procedures, initiatives and best practices
  • Working with the HR Manager to develop and maintaining long-term talent management, employee development and succession strategies
  • Managing and processing monthly payroll, pay benchmarking and pay review processes
  • Managing pension and other benefits administration
  • Reviewing and updating employment terms, HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice

Profile

Essential Skills

  • CIPD Qualified (Level 5)
  • Proven subject-matter expert in terms of generalist HR and recruitment
  • Experienced in direct recruitment
  • Strong employment law/employee relations knowledge - ability to assess risk and help managers to reach appropriate and commercial outcomes
  • Strong people skills, able to build rapport quickly across all levels
  • "Can do" attitude, drive and energy and personal accountability
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking the initiative when needed
  • Strong organisational skills - Ability to manage self to ensure appropriate service to business areas
  • Passionate about making a difference with a "hands on style" and the desire to have a real impact and make positive change
