The role will focus on the factors that really drive positive engagement across employers and partner the Internal communications functions to drive the right message across the group
Client Details
The client is a heavily unionised organisation with offices across the North and Midlands. They have been working hard to align the customer and employer branding and to ensure consistency of messaging across the group but have identified that there is a need for this role to pull everything together tactically and strategically. As Head of Engagement you will be primarily based in Northern offices in Leeds, York or Manchester but may have requirements for future travel.
Description
The Head of Engagement role will be a strong influencer and will support a number of initiatives including a robust approach to well being, a drive for diversity and the pursuit of an authentic inclusive culture.
A key measure will be the engagement of the wider workforce in key strategic plans and purpose, you will tasked with improving every element of the employee experience and life cycle - from recruitment through to off-boarding and exit interviews.
You will focus on the factors that really drive engagement, owning the engagement surveys and ensuring actions and outcomes and delivered on the back on findings. You will work in partnership with business leaders to shape plans for their own departments.
Profile
Whilst most generalist HR roles will have engagement as a defining principle, the client is really looking to bring in a specialist into this role so candidates MUST have worked in either a Strategic Employee Relations or Engagement remit with close ties to Internal Communications and key deliverables in their recent career history.
Ideally you will have worked in a large and unionised, multi-site business and will be able to demonstrate both change and senior stakeholder management in your CV
