Head of HR

Pure are delighted to be working exclusively with the Zoological Society of East Anglia in the appointment of a Head of HR to lead their team.
ZSEA are a charity that has a mission to connect communities to nature for conservation through their work at Banham Zoo and Africa Alive [and further afield].

It is an exciting time to join the organisation. They are on journey to become a learning organisation, truly valuing their people and want to reflect this in the opportunities and the environment they may offer. The Head of HR will be a key person in helping to deliver this.

The person......... You will be an experienced HR professional, ideally qualified CIPD Level 7, who has managed a small HR team before, is credible, approachable, able to balance the strategic and the day to day. You will be comfortable being part of the leadership team and balancing that with rolling your sleeves up to participate in the operational day to day generalist HR work.

You will of course be comfortable taking responsibility for your own workload and delivering effective outcomes. You will be approachable, knowledgeable about employment law and - more importantly - its practical application. You will be able to gain the trust and the confidence of your team, your peers and your wider colleagues, no matter their title. ZSAE believe in respect and leading by example, so you will need to be someone who can walk the talk.

This is a full time role and you will based at Banham Zoo, but you will need to work at the sister park Africa Alive, near Lowestoft, on a regular basis, so a driving licence and access to a car is required.
