Your Duties :

To lead and manage the HR Consultants providing generalist HR advice, guidance, insight and training on employment policies and procedures.

To develop the University's Employee Relations strategy, plan and processes, with a focus on developing a positive employee relations climate during complex organisational change.

Be a role model and subject matter expert on generalist HR matters (e.g. employee relations, recruitment and retention, performance management, employee engagement) and a point of escalation when required.

Have oversight ofcomplex casework

Be a point of escalation for complex HR queries.

Develop effective working relationships with the HR Business Partners to ensure there is a consistent and best practice approach to managing all HR activity, and ensure accountabilities and responsibilities are clear.

Maintain and continue to build long lasting relationships with colleagues with the HR team.

Champion Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

Work collaboratively with the Head of Organisational Development and Head of Diversity and Inclusion to align employment policies, staff development, staff wellbeing and employee engagement approaches with in all HR practice.

Effectively manage Trade Union relationships

Develop and provide training, guidance and coaching for the HR team and senior leaders on the management and application of HR policies and procedures and associated employment law issues. Working with colleagues in Organisational Development.

Develop and embed management information and reporting on ER activity, identifying trends, areas for improvement and development.

Lead and develop systems including audit as necessary to ensure that all people data on casework is kept up to date and secure, and all documentation is of the highest standard.
