Oakleaf Partnership are currently working with a small dynamic charity who are looking to appoint a Head of HR on permanent basis. Within this newly created position you will lead the small HR function to ensure compliance and develop a culture that encourages working effectively whilst maximising staff well-being and engagement. You will report into the Director of Finance and Corporate Services and be key in developing and implementing the people plans across the whole organisation. Key Accountabilities Provide strategic advice to SLT as well as set the strategic direction of the HR function.Provide, with support of a small team, efficient day to day HR support to the organisation, including regulatory and statutory compliance, recruitment, on-boarding, maintenance of and adherence with up-to-date HR policies & procedures and management of employer relations issues.Have the ability to design and deliver projects enabling them to drive forward the talent work streams (currently collated and prioritised as the "People Plan").Further develop and lead the delivery of our staff training and development programmesLead the annual pay review process and ensure adherence to the Pay Strategy (payroll and pension processing to be performed by the Finance team).Lead on Management's relationship with the Union to leverage our high levels of staff engagementDevelop the HR system to ensure it provides value for money, works effectively and delivers the efficiencies envisaged.You are expected develop the strategic plan in relation to all aspects of talent management across the organisationReview of all policies and proceduresDevelopment and implementation of a D&I strategyReview well-being initiatives and staff survey results Key RequirementsDemonstrable track record of operating at a senior HR level for a minimum of five years, ideally in more than one organisationExperience of setting and delivering HR strategy at a cross-organisational levelExperience of initiating and implementing change, with ambitions for ongoing improvement and developmentExperience of managing a teamAbility to initiate and deliver projectsStrong interpersonal skills with a style that can be adapted to different situations
