A Government Department located in Holborn is looking for a Recruitment Officer for a 6 months contract.


Your new company
A Non-Ministerial Government Department in Holborn is looking for a Recruitment Officer to join their team for a 6 months contract. This is a full-time role and is paying £18.06 per hour via PAYE or £20.54 per hour via Umbrella company.

Your new role
You will report to the Recruitment Adviser and support the smooth onboarding experience for all permanent and temporary staff joining the organisation. As Recruitment Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the necessary checks have been completed for successful candidates. This includes, conducting right to work checks, progressing DBS applications and collecting work references. Additionally, you will update and track new joiner information in the Excel spreadsheet.

As an individual, you will have excellent communication and time management skills to liaise with all the Senior Recruitment Advisers and hiring managers involved in the recruitment process.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, candidates must have previous experience of working in an in-house recruitment role, where they have provided administration support to their HR team. You will have dealt with maintaining confidential data files. Ideally, you will have strong knowledge of using ATS (Agresso) and Microsoft Excel. Furthermore, a wider understanding of HR and Recruitment employment legislation will be highly desirable.
