Interim Learning & Development Coordinator - minimum 3 months role - Doncaster - £26000 pa equivalent

Your new company
I am currently working in partnership with my client - a highly respected service provider with multiple service sites around the South Yorkshire area are looking to recruit an Interim Learning & Development Coordinator for initially a minimum of 3 months

Your new role
Reporting to the OD and L&D Manager you will support the department in ensuring the function and the team is developed in line with the needs of the organisation. This will incorporate delivering induction processes and other L&D material, producing and co-ordinating the production of a range of L&D activities, management information and management reports, and taking a lead in the delivery of the organisation's apprentice programme.

Specifically, you will:

  • Undertake learning and development needs analysis and work with various Departmental Heads to plan and prioritise learning and development activity - which includes the production of annual and rolling learning and development plans and programmes.
  • Assist in the commissioning and purchasing of learning and development, including preparing specifications for work, evaluating bids and liaising with external training providers and consultants to ensure value for money.
  • Assisting with the management of external training providers and Service Level Agreements.
  • Assist with the "review and refresh" of all learning and development related policies and procedures- and contributing to the design and delivery of a range of in-house training and learning interventions.
  • Service provision and liaison with various stake holder - colleagues, managers, and service providers to ensure the effectiveness of the HR & Organisational Development Team.
  • Providing regular reports / management information on OD and L&D activities
  • Assist with the development of relevant E- learning packages
  • Leading on the Annual Apprentice Programme from recruitment, onboarding, bespoke induction, assessment, review, on-going support and future career/role development. This will include report production, provider liaison and Line Manager contact.


NB Interviews for this role are taking place with my client ASAP - with an initial interview with the Recruiting Partner - Ruth Hardy of Hays HR - prior to that date.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will ideally have the CIPD Level 5 in HR or Learning & Development (or equivalent relevant experience level) with a successful track record Learning & Development and OD activities. You will be a confident communicator (verbal and written) who is used to speaking in front of co-horts of "learners", be able to liaise with various management levels within an organisation and produce reporting information.
Public Sector or Third Party sector background with Trade Union involvement is highly advantageous.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered an Interim role for initially a 3 month period (with a review following this date, dependant on organisational requirements) and a competitive salary of circa £26000 (based on a weekly paid hourly rate basis, paid through Hays payroll, with accrued holiday entitlement)
