An exciting opportunity for a HR Manager to join a well-known Retail brand based in Central London within a fast-paced, exciting and outgoing team.

The successful HR Manager will work with the HR Director and wider HR team to deliver a commercial, business aligned HR strategy and provide a generalist HR service to the Head Office & Retail functions. The HR Manager will be required to deliver high levels of service and build lasting relationships to ensure that people with skills essential to the success of the business are recruited, developed, retained and able to fulfil their potential.

Responsibilities of the HR Manager include;

Build strong relationships with the Directors, HO and Retail teams, generating a network of contacts throughout the business and involving them in the design and delivery of HR activity

Bring a different perspective to challenge and influence

Work with HRMs to support the HR Director with developing and driving the HR Strategy

Question and challenge HR processes to ensure the function is commercial and effective in supporting the overall business objectives

Tracking HR trends/risks with a view to delivering solutions that will bring about business improvement

Propose and implement solutions to meet resourcing requirements and succession gaps

Attend all final stage interviews for Head Office

Build a comprehensive knowledge of the pay, grade and benefits structures, advising the line about increases and producing salary and grade proposals

Implement employee Reward policy, proactively raise issues and make suggestions for improvements

Develop the approach to HO employee engagement through measures to attract, retain and develop

Agile to identify structural opportunities, propose, support and facilitate their implementation

Understand and present the commercial and cost implications of activity

Provide advice and guidance to line management on policies and procedures, ensuring they are applied consistently

Advise line managers about employee relations issues, including performance, sickness, disciplinary, problem solving and support the delivery of consultations

Skills and experience required;

Strong HR Generalist experience, including ER

Ability to influence, challenge and communicate effectively at all levels

Strong organisational skills and flexible to manage several activities simultaneously

Line Management experience

Can work under pressure to meet deadlines

Solution focussed approach

Commercially focussed and understands retail

Demonstrates resilience and able to manage change positively

Encourages team members to develop their skills and realise their potential

Solid level of general HR practice - good breadth of generalist knowledge and experience

London based role but willing to travel across the UK & Ireland with overnight stays as appropriate
