Key HR Business Partner role for a technology company near Oxford - working with a client group of circa 100 staff across Sales, R&D and Corporate Affairs. Key elements will include talent management, employee engagement, using people data and insights to inform your business decisions, development and high performance, business change initiatives, ER and performance management. Travel to London Paddington once per week.

Description

This role will work in close partnership with your customer groups across the business to create and deliver targeted people plans aligned to support the delivery of key strategic priorities during an exciting and ambitious time for growth, transformation and diversification within this company.

Business Partnership

  • Develop trusting relationships with your customer groups and maintain an effective level of business awareness and understanding to effectively contribute to the business area's plans, its culture and its people priorities.
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership of your customer groups to develop and deliver a focused people plans that supports the achievement of key priorities and deliver improved performance and engagement.
  • Developing appropriate strategies for Talent Management, Employee Engagement, Development and High performance.

HR Expertise

  • Ensures customer awareness, engagement and readiness for all key people activities to ensure effective delivery of the HR agenda into the key customer groups and effective management of people priorities.
  • Provide coaching, support and professional HR expertise in the management of all people matters within the function - able to operate at a commercial level to develop longer term plans as well as manage the operational, tactical here and now to drive high performance.

Development

  • Provide practical development support through the delivery of key people management training modules ensuring we support the manager fundamental programme.
  • Support the Learn and Grow modules to ensure we are focused on employee development across the wider organisation.
  • Work with customer groups and external partners to support the design and development of skills, behaviour and cultural development.

Managing Change

  • Work in partnership with the business to deliver effective and timely organisational change ensuring we engage in a timely manner and support the change effectively.
  • Deliver people-related initiatives through effective communication, coaching and stakeholder management offering support regarding organisational/people-related strategy.

HR Specialist - centre of expertise

  • Understand and anticipate the need for change across a key HR discipline eg Engagement, Development, Reward, Performance etc to carry our research into key changes and trends diagnose the underlying issues and build the case for change with HRD for review across the broader HR function.
  • Work in partnership with the HRD to design and deliver high impact solutions that meet the needs of the business and develop appropriate people strategies.
  • Build frameworks to plan and manage the continuous process of change including dependencies, risk, potential scenarios and options to mitigate.

Profile

Professional skills, background and profile

  • Excellent HR Business Partnering background, with experience in talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, development, high performance, ER and delivering key change processes.
  • You will be adept at interpreting people data to formulate key insights which then provide the basis of key business decisions.
  • Significant coaching experience.
  • Experience of working in the technology industry would be advantageous.
  • Ideally CIPD qualified and Degree educated, however candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.

  • Highly engaging, positive, proactive and curious.
  • Good business and commercial understanding.
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbally and written.
  • Proven coach for performance and mentoring.
  • Has a structured and logical manner.

You will ideally be able to travel to London once per week in the delivery of this role - the London office is walk-able from Paddington station.
