Role overview

Position: HR Advisor

Location: Goring-on-Thames, South Oxfordshire

Job type: A minimum of 25 hours per week, but preferably full time (ideally worked over 4 - 5 days).

Hours: min. 25 hours / 37.5 hours per week

Salary: circa £30,000 dependant on experience

About the role:

HRCentral provide pragmatic advice to our clients covering the whole HR Lifecycle. Our business is industry agnostic which means we work with any industry although our ideal clients are High Tech Engineering focused with around 5 - 50 employees. We provide Breathe HR Information systems (we are Gold partner status), Recruitment and HR advice / consultancy to all of our clients, working closely with employment lawyers, occupational health and other specialist advisors to save our clients time. We alleviate the pain of HR so they can focus on being operational within their business.

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced HR Advisor to work with us in our lovely offices based in Goring on Thames, a stone’s throw away from the village and the river and 5 minutes’ walk from the train station.

We are looking for someone who will provide HR expertise across all generalist areas - advising clients directly by phone, email and with written communications, you will attend face to face meetings and will develop strong relationships with our clients in an ‘account manager’ type role. Supporting the Managing Director and providing support to new and existing clients, there is plenty of scope for job enrichment and career progression.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone to be part of an exciting and growing business. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate common sense, good judgement and existing HR experience preferably in a customer facing environment, who is willing to work hard to help expand our ever-growing business.

About you:

- Ideally CIPD qualified to Level 5.

- Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge and experience in disciplinary & grievance matters, policies, learning development and recruitment strategy.

- Have a robust understanding and an interest in employment legislation.

- Confident and outgoing with great communication skills - particularly by phone and email.

- Customer orientated - responsive and customer focused, but firm.

- Comfortable with meeting people and working remotely - there will be some opportunities to work alongside our clients at their offices and to attend networking events to attract new ones!

- Able to think on their feet and deliver advice - you will be giving a lot of telephone advice to our clients when they get stuck with their HR challenges, so an ability to develop long term and sometimes ‘long distance’ relationships is essential.

- Commercially focused - you need to be able to weigh up the employment and commercial needs, and identify areas with existing clients where we can expand our offering. Working as part of the team you will ensure our clients are aware of our strengths and additional services - our eyes and ears for future opportunities.

- Super organised, able to prioritise with an agility to change direction (you know ….the usual HR thing with juggling different issues!).

- Strong team spirit - everyone mucks in and helps each other as and when required – equally comfortable working alone when required.

-IT literate

This is a varied role with challenging projects and a fantastic range of clients in a variety of sectors. We cover every industry from hospitality to the space and everything in-between!

You can expect a fun working environment; we have an office dog and partake in cake Friday and will sometimes be seen in our hospitality client’s locations sampling their menu of a lunch time!

We work at pace and demonstrate flexibility and agility to ensure we meet the needs of our clients. If this sounds like you if you are looking for a new challenge with exciting, varied and often challenging workload.

You may have experience of the following: HR Advisor, Human Resources Advisor, HR Administrator, Human Resources Administrator, HR Officer, Human Resources Officer, HR Assistant, Human Resources Assistant, HR Executive, Human Resources Executive, HR Generalist, Human Resources Generalist, Human Resources, etc.
