Job Details

As the HR Manager, you will partner with the SMT to professionalise the HR function and deliver the overarching organisational people strategy.

Client Details

My client is a high growth software services business that specialises in providing solutions for international organisations.

This business is highly successful and is close to employing 100 people.

My client is proud to be known as customer centric and fully understands that culture, diversity & inclusion and health & wellbeing is key to supporting the success of a business.

Description

This HR Manager role, reporting into the Chief Executive Officer and part of the Senior Management Team, will be an operational and strategically aligned HR professional who leads on delivering the people strategy with a value-add and commercially astute service. You will be the key interface with key stakeholders.

The focus of this new role is building a commercial and people focused HR function which is currently relatively 'greenfield' - therefore there will be a focus on creating, evaluating and implementing formal policies, processes and procedures.

There is also a need for 'the right people, in the right roles, with the right skills' working effectively with a continued edge of performance - therefore an additional focus on Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employee Engagement and Health & Wellbeing is key.

You will also manage, develop and mentor another member in the HR team.

The business employs just under 100 people across corporate functions, Commercial and Technology & Project Delivery.

You will be based in their modern and high spec offices in Manchester's Northern Quarter.

Profile

As the HR Manager, you will be confident and assertive - with an outgoing personality and an informal, yet professional style. You must be able to communicate effectively to all areas of the business; grassroots to leadership.

Understanding the business operations, the talent employed and the strategic focus the business, you will be a natural business advisor to the leadership team. As the HR Manager, you will be the moral compass of the business, and look to evolve behaviours at all levels - within the HR team, and within the wider business.

My client is defined as a fast paced and commercial business, so you will need to be equipped with a diverse toolkit to influence, drive change, introduce best practice and push back on the status quo. You will be proactive and autonomous in your approach with key stakeholders.

You must have experience within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

To be considered for this role you have experience in the following:

  • CIPD qualification (minimum CIPD Level 5)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge of UK Employment Law
  • Experience of partnering with senior stakeholders
  • Experience within an operational and strategically focused generalist HR role
  • Experience of managing and delivering projects; including employee engagement, health & wellbeing and diversity & inclusion
  • Ability to build rapport quickly to challenge, influence and coach key members of the Senior Management Team
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to assess people and situations objectively
  • Experience of managing, mentoring and developing direct reports in a HR role

Job Offer

This role will pay £40,000 to 45,000 per annum (dependent on experience). You will also receive a suite of benefits and a performance related bonus.

My client also offers free beverages, snacks and fruit. They also have a modern and high spec office space in Manchester's Northern Quarter.

My client also prides itself in its culture; social events, annual celebrations and more…
