Oakleaf are currently working with a mid-sized brokerage firm on an opportunity for an HR Officer to join their team of 6.

 

Duties:

  • Manage the end to end recruitment process from selection through to approvals and offer stage
  • On-boarding of new joiners, first day induction and manage new joiner follow up meetings
  • Manage the internship programme
  • Take ownership of L&D processes, making decisions on suitable training programme and advise the business on options
  • Manage the end to end performance appraisal process (Mar-May)
  • Update all appraisal help guides, draft and send communications and reminders to staff
  • Process leave of absences - maternity, paternity, sabbaticals, parental leave, unpaid leave, jury service etc.
  • Process leavers and manage exit interviews
  • Process internal transfers, flexible working arrangements, staff referrals, secondments and off-cycle pay increases
  • Act as the main point of contact for the US team
  • Work with the CEO in the US for any HR requirements for the team such as training, performance reviews or ER issues
  • Working with UK Immigration advisors on any visa related issues
  • Ensure the UK & US handbook, procedures, letter templates and HR Intranet are updated
  • Act as the system superuser for a new system
  • Project support

Candidate requirements

  • Prior experience in a financial or professional services firm, added advantage if an LLP
  • An eagerness to learn but with a lot of confidence in using own initiativ
  • A confident self-starter
  • Strong communication and numerical skills
  • Demonstrable experience in multi-tasking and prioritising heavy and varied workloads
