Occupational Mental Health Advisor
Location: Preston, Lancashire
Job Type: Full Time Fixed term Contract – 12 months
Occupational Health Staffing is looking to recruit an Occupational Mental Health Advisor on a full time fixed term contract for 12 months based in Preston, Lancashire. The successful candidate will have solid experience of complex mental health case management and supporting the identification and management of mental health risks across their client’s business. The successful individual will also be tasked with developing policy and strategy for managing complex occupational health cases within the client setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Defining and developing policy and strategy for managing complex occupational health cases
• Defining and implementing a model for professional support of the Mental Health First Aiders Community across the client’s business area
• Attending and supporting the Client’s Mental Health Working group.
• To provide expert, evidence based complex case management services for referrals relating to attendance, fitness for work and other requests for OH advice.
• Provide professional, comprehensive and evidence based written reports
• Provide expert advice in respect of legislative requirements and best practice relating to OH
• To provide fitness medicals and health surveillance that meet best practice requirements
• To evaluate the results of medicals and surveillance provided, and ensure that the correct advice in relation to fitness is communicated, escalating where clinically appropriate
To apply:
• Registration with NMC Part 1
• OH qualified - Diploma/Degree recorded on Part 3 of the NMC register
• Mental health qualified and / or extensive experience of working with individuals with a mental health condition
• Proven complex case management experience
