This is a name that most people would like on the CV…

This a major global business with 12 different business units sat within the group. The chap that is hiring for this role wants to develop a joined up approach to resourcing across the organisation. He is looking for a good senior recruiter to be based in the North and they are flexible on your base location. Initially you will work in a stand-alone capacity but you will build a team of your own in the next couple of years.

What will be keeping you busy…

The business can do a lot more in the way of direct sourcing despite the recruitment team not being under pressure to reduce agency spend. There is a real opportunity to demonstrate a massively improved return on investment for the business.

This is not just a bums on seats role. They want someone that will genuinely partner with the business. As well as finding great talent, you will help your key stakeholders forecast headcount, review performance issues and plan accordingly. Where there are opportunities to promote high performers, you will develop a talent plan to ensure that you have a pipeline of good people coming through to replace them.

In terms of volume of recruitment, you will have about 100 roles to look after over the course of the year at all levels and 20-25 of these will be live at any one time. It is not high volume. Quality is key.

Who are we looking for?

Ultimately you will be a very strong talent acquisition professional that is not afraid to get out and really understand the business. We would like to see at least 5-8 years of solid recruitment experience, primarily gained in-house. This is a period of major change for the recruitment function. We are looking for someone that can look at the bigger picture and see what the Head of Resourcing is working towards and help him achieve that. There will be ambiguity for the first 12 months but you will be part of a genuinely positive transformation that will also see a couple of major technology rollouts.

Your boss will be based in London and you will be a number two that he can trust to work autonomously and deliver to a high standard. This is a really important hire for him.

You will have full life-cycle recruitment experience. You will be a good networker that will get out to industry events and not just pay lip service to this type of activity. Your boss will be someone that likes you to pick up the phone rather than managing everything via email so you need to be comfortable communicating in this way. It is paramount that you have a presence both internally and externally.

Industry experience is not required but if you have navigated your way through a large corporate business previously then this will help you hit the ground more quickly.

You will be someone that takes a keen interest in the future of recruitment. The business wants to get the basics right first but will have one eye on developing their strategies for social media, video interviewing and AI. To this end you will always be looking for improvements to be made to the service that you deliver.

This is a great opportunity…

You will be working for one of the nicest bosses around in a great brand with real opportunities for career progression. This is not a role that you will want to miss out on.

Company

Fetch Recruitment was set up by Yasmin Elezaj and Tommy Gale in 2017.  After years of working in and managing successful recruitment businesses, they decided to go into business together and have created an expert team.

Both with young families and very similar values in and out of work, they realised that they could offer excellent service to clients that were looking for a different approach to recruitment.

As such, Fetch is a very family oriented business.  We believe that if our recruiters have a good work-life balance, this will reflect in the service that they deliver for clients. This plays out in the quality of service that we provide.

Our team are not chained to their desks with their phone times being monitored. They are trusted to do what they are good at and because of this they go over and above. They all work from home and this means that we have good coverage across the UK as our team are spread out.

We created a commercial proposition that allows us to offer a far superior level of service to clients for much lower fees than our competitors. Everything that we do is about providing exceptional value and we think that we do this really well.
