We are currently working on a retained basis with our Insurance client who is looking for a HR Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join the team based in Redhill on a permanent basis. Working closely with the business to build strong working relationships. The role is yours to make your own; you will be working in a start-up HR team where you will develop and implement the people agenda.

Reporting to the MD with a dotted line to the Senior VP of HR in Canada, you will be the expert HR lead for the group and be responsible for projects including; engagement, change management, TUPE, redundancy and the people agenda.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

 

  • Deliver the provision of a high quality operational HR function
  • Lead on a range of HR projects to improve and transform HR operations
  • Provide guidance and advice on improving company policies, procedures and documentation
  • Actively lead, oversee and manage the recruitment process, including interviewing, ensuring the HR documentation process is adhered to; developing solutions to address business needs
  • Ability to think fast, innovatively and create solutions
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
  • Ability to work independently - willingness to take responsibility for outcomes; ability to judge when to ask for guidance and when to take initiative


Essential skills/qualifications:

  • Significant experience of successfully managing a wide range of HR projects through to completion using extensive HR knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of a wide range of HR systems and developing these within a business
  • Experience of proactively leading on identifying, designing, implementing and monitoring new HR processes
  • CIPD qualified
