We are actively recruiting for a HR Manager to join our client in London (near Brixton) on a full time permanent basis. Managing a team of 3 and supporting c1000 employees you will successfully interact with heads of department, managers and employees and trade union representatives on a daily basis. The successful candidate will need to flex their style accordingly and be willing to roll up your sleeves and on occasions hold disciplinary, attendance, grievance meetings/ appeals. You must be able to lead and coach managers and heads of department on best practice and put steps/training in place to develop capability.

Supporting the HRBP, this is an exciting and challenging role where no two days will be the same! You will be an energetic HR professional with proven experience in a HR Management role over the last 2-3 years.

You must be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge across all aspects of the People function with the ability to translate this knowledge into pragmatic and robust HR advice. Areas include

You will be responsible for delivering the people plan at one of our client's largest sites. You will have knowledge of best practice recruitment, absence management, capability, disciplinary and grievance, coupled with strong employment law knowledge.

You will have a good understanding of policy, process and procedural compliance, managing processes from start to finish with minimal intervention. As well strong experience managing attendance and managing long and short-term sickness.

You will have experience of advising and managing a high ER caseload, whilst working closely with Senior Leaders influencing with confidence and credibility. Evidence of working in a unionised environment is essential. It is a unionised environment - so the post holder would need an understanding and experience of industrial relations. You will support the contracts director in a monthly Joint Union meetings, as well as liaising with union representatives on a daily basis.

Must be able to travel to other sites in the Midlands for team meetings.
