This is a name that most people would like on the CV…

This a major global business with 12 different business units sat within the group. The chap that is hiring for this role wants to develop a joined up approach to resourcing across the organisation. He is looking for a good recruiter that is able to handle both volume recruitment and senior hires that can help them reduce their reliance on agencies.

What will be keeping you busy…

The business can do a lot more in the way of direct sourcing despite the recruitment team not being under enormous pressure to reduce agency spend. There is a real opportunity to demonstrate a massively improved return on investment for the business.

This is not just a bums on seats role. They want someone that will genuinely partner with the business and network in the right places to find good people for the business (and not just pay lip service to this). As well as finding great talent, you will help your key stakeholders forecast headcount, review performance issues and plan accordingly. Where there are opportunities to promote high performers, you will develop a talent plan to ensure that you have a pipeline of good people coming through to replace them.

In terms of volume of recruitment, you will have up to about 40 roles to look after at any one time but a number of these will slow burners so you will not have as many plates to keep spinning as this number of vacancies suggests. You will be able to use agencies but you will work to reduce this reliance over time and prioritise working on roles that you can fill yourself.

Who are we looking for?

Ultimately you will be a very strong talent acquisition professional that is not afraid to get out and really understand the business. We would like to see at least 3 years of solid recruitment experience, primarily gained in-house but agency recruiters will also be considered. This is a period of major change for the recruitment function. We are looking for someone that can look at the bigger picture and see what the Head of Resourcing is working towards and help him achieve that. There will be ambiguity for the first 12 months but you will be part of a genuinely positive transformation that will also see a couple of major technology rollouts.

You will have full life-cycle recruitment experience. You will be a good networker that will get out to industry events. Your boss will be someone that likes you to pick up the phone rather than managing everything via email so you need to be comfortable communicating in this way. It is paramount that you have a presence both internally and externally.

Industry experience is not required but if you have navigated your way through a large corporate business previously then this will help you hit the ground more quickly. Perhaps some experience of professional services, financial services or technology would be advantageous.

You will be someone that takes a keen interest in the future of recruitment and will have a genuine desire to progress your career in talent acquisition. There will be genuine opportunities to progress from this role in 2-3 years time.

This is a great opportunity…

You will be working for one of the nicest bosses around in a great brand with real opportunities for career progression. This is not a role that you will want to miss out on.

Company

Fetch Recruitment was set up by Yasmin Elezaj and Tommy Gale in 2017.  After years of working in and managing successful recruitment businesses, they decided to go into business together and have created an expert team.

Both with young families and very similar values in and out of work, they realised that they could offer excellent service to clients that were looking for a different approach to recruitment.

As such, Fetch is a very family oriented business.  We believe that if our recruiters have a good work-life balance, this will reflect in the service that they deliver for clients. This plays out in the quality of service that we provide.

Our team are not chained to their desks with their phone times being monitored. They are trusted to do what they are good at and because of this they go over and above. They all work from home and this means that we have good coverage across the UK as our team are spread out.

We created a commercial proposition that allows us to offer a far superior level of service to clients for much lower fees than our competitors. Everything that we do is about providing exceptional value and we think that we do this really well.
