Oakleaf Partnership is currently recruiting for an Employee Relations Operations Specialist in partnership with a city-based Insurance client The ER Team is responsible for managing all individual employee relations issues in the UK. This role will partner with the business and HR in order to provide an excellent case management service to the organisation. Strong employment rights knowledge is essential to be a success in the position as is experience within a large, matrix reporting structured business. Responsibilities: Provide expert advice and coaching for business managers on a range of cases including:
Disciplinary mattersGrievance investigationsContractual changesPerformance ManagementAbsence managementFlexible working applicationsManage complex litigious ER cases and tribunal cases in partnership with ER Manager, in-house Legal Counsel and business managersEnsure a consistent and efficient application of policy / processAdvise HR colleagues on complex organisational change and restructuresBuild business partner capability by developing their understanding of ER issues and promoting the ER function as a centre of excellence.Build positive, open and constructive relationships with the business, across HR and with key suppliers to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery of ER focused solutionsParticipate in key HR projects to support the functionReview HR policies and make recommendations to update in line with best practice and business strategy Qualifications and experience: Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levelsStrong relationship management skills - ability to develop and maintain relationships with key members of the businessExcellent written and verbal communication skills2 years'+ experience of managing and resolving complex ER issues spanning as a minimum disciplinaries, grievances and redundanciesSolid understanding of HR policy and best practiceGood working knowledge of employment legislationAble to manage competing prioritiesExposure to complex business environment, preferably within financial or professionalProfessionally qualified (CIPD or equivalent) - desirable
