Ensure our rewards match the challenges of our environment

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that’s dedicated to the nuclear industry. Our vision is to be recognised as a provider of a world-class service for the protection of nuclear material and facilities. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit and retain skilled and committed professionals. The creation of an effective rewards strategy together with the effective management of our relationship with our staff is vital to this.

This is an ideal opportunity to work with the CNC HR Reward, Pay and Employee Lifecycle on all reward and employee lifecycle matters in helping to develop the current reward strategy and processes. You’ll support the HR Reward, Pay and Employee Lifecycle Manager in designing and updating reward arrangements, developing a Total Reward function as well as being responsible for specialist bonus schemes, recognition and other programmes whilst monitoring the success of HR policies and ensuring the job evaluation process is aligned to industry standards.

Qualified to CIPD Level or equivalent, you will have reward experience in similar role that must include strategy development and implementation. Experience will include leading on salary structure reviews, implementing and communicating change and providing advice to all levels of personnel from employees to managers.

Your expert knowledge of best practice approaches for pay, job evaluation and benefits will be matched by a sound understanding of HR legislation and policies. Knowledge of pensions is highly beneficial but not essential. Above all, you will have exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills and personal integrity to influence at the highest level of the organisation.
