Senior Management Accountant/Financial Controller

Ashley Kate UK are looking for an experienced and Senior Management Accountant/Financial Controller to join our client's high profile, international Media business. You will report into the Finance Director and lead a team of five Finance professionals based out of their offices in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. This business has a turnover of approximately £25m and are continuing to grow.

You will be a hands-on individual who enjoys being at the front line of the business but is also ambitious with their long term career ambitions. This role will offer you the opportunity to progress from a Financial Controller role to a Finance Director position in line with anticipated business growth.

Right now, you will need to be CIMA or ACCA qualified with PQE.


Key deliverables in this role are:

- Producing and presenting on the monthly management accounts including checking the accuracy, posting journals following month end close (in conjunction with the project accountants)
- VAT returns and knowledge of reverse charging
- Managing the finance team and mentoring them in their roles
- Improving and challenging current processes
- Becoming a superuser of the Deltek Maconomy system and training the other finance team members to use this system effectively
- Oversee and manage the Payroll of the business and ensure accuracy
- Partner with the Finance Director on commercial planning and decision making and make recommendations for business improvements including cost centre analysis, overheads, and improving reporting on budgets & forecasting.
- Managing finance with FX rate fluctuations
