HR Business Partner - 6 month contract in Chelmsford

Your new company
A HR Business partner is required on an interim basis for a Construction company based in Chelmsford. Its likely that the contract will be for around 6 months but this could be extended.

As Business Partner you will support key client areas working closely with the senior teams enhancing HR provision through innovation and continuous improvement projects, with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships. You will be responsible for a range of HR activities, including talent growth, culture change, employee relations, talent and development and coaching.

Your new role

Position the role of Business Partner as an integral part of the client management team by developing effective working relationships, influencing and challenging the senior management team on their personal style and the development and delivery of their people plans in support of the achievement of the business area and HR strategies.

* Advising and coaching on strategic and operational HR matters
* Providing expert advice and guidance on generalist HR queries, ensuring the best outcome for the business
* Proactively gain client feedback to aid HR functions improve service levels and alert HR areas where an issue/project may impact on other areas
* Working closely with the Resourcing Manager, ensuring seamless communication in all areas of Recruitment and Emerging Talent
* Full management of Employee Relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance and absence management
* Support the Head of HR in major organisational change programs including acquisitions, restructuring and TUPE
* Supporting managers in enhancing business results through improving performance and capabilities
* Identify individual and collective learning and development needs and design appropriate talent and development programs that support the L&D strategy
* Support the business area with the management development of their people, providing advice, guidance and ad-hoc training on Personal Development Plans and work with the business area to establish and introduce systems that identify employees with high potential, develop career paths in consideration of key roles for succession planning and self-development
* Responsible for the review of existing and design of new policies and processes, ensuring they are effectively communicated to the wider business
* Collate, produce and present Key Performance Indicators, monitoring trends and raising issues as and when relevant by utilising the HR system reporting tools


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will be CIPD qualified and have demonstrable experience of working as a Business Partner. You will have excellent Employment Law and best practice knowledge. A background in Leaning and Development is desirable along with coaching and mentoring skills.

You will have good stakeholder relationship skills with the ability to challenge and influence others.
Its essential that you have excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information effectively. The ability to work flexibly, managing change and conflicting priorities.
