ArtisHR are excited to be supporting a fantastic business in London with the recruitment of a Head of HR. This is a permanent full time post paying £75-80,000 + 15% bonus, managing a team of 2 HR Business Partner, supporting a client group of 1200 employees and reporting to the Group HR Director.

The role is based in Central London and can offer the flexibility to WFH 1 day a week.

I would describe the culture as an environment with genuine down to earth and fun people, they are looking for someone who is driven, confident and can challenge but someone who can challenge with empathy. Reporting directly to the Group HR Director who is extremely savvy and offers full autonomy to the team. Very hands off but is a door open individual and is keen to really support the team to ensure the people team maintains the excellent reputation they have built internally.

As Head of HR you will support 2 key stakeholders, manage a team of 2 Business Partners and a client group of 1200 in a matrix environment, as a unionised business our client is looking for experience with this as the appointed candidate will need to understand how unions work and their powers. There are a number of exciting changes currently taking place and if you are looking for true business transformational change you will absolutely get heaps of exposure, key areas that are on the agenda at present are managing acquisitions, onboarding and induction, Gender & Diversity, Talent acquisition, creating an online culture to move away from being chained to the desk albeit they offer flexibility with working hours.

Purpose of the position:

The Head of HR will focus on supporting the National business to create and deliver their People Strategy in line with their specific needs and must support the business in achieving its overall strategy to become a growing business. This role will focus on challenging and supporting the Business Leaders, using Management Information to support and guide decision making. They will be a true business partner working with their key stakeholders. They will operate within the HR operating model which encompasses the HRSS, Specialists and HRBP colleagues. They will be part of the HRLT and contribute to the broader HR agenda and functional activity. Development of direct reports and contribute to the development of other functional professionals.

Principle responsibilities
Work with local MD to create a robust people plan to support the delivery of the strategy
*Transformation Plans
*Employee Engagement Score improvement
*Attraction, development and retention of key talent
*Consult with the Unions to build a strong working relationship and effective communication channel to enable work and projects to be delivered

Ensure local business manage costs and maximise revenue
*All cost saving projects delivered on time and revenue growth is visible
*ER relation issues are managed and a sensible and pragmatic approach to risk is taken

Provide development solutions to drive high performance
*Increase in performance ratings and quality of work delivered by staff

Work Closely and supportively with HR functions and colleagues
*Contribute to the development of HRSS team - sharing knowledge and expertise
*Work collaboratively with HRBP population sharing best practise
*Actively engage with functional specialist to ensure consistency of approach and to deliver projects to the Nationals business areas

Daily management and development of the individuals in HR and contribution to HRSS

*Graduate
*CIPD qualified
*Experience at Senior HRBP/Head of HR in complex environment
