Senior HR Director - Manufacturing UK

We have an outstanding opportunity within a truly Global Multinational who's built their brand and reputation on being at the forefront of technology and innovation.

With the overarching goal of driving forward their UK&I business, they are now recruiting a Senior HR Director to join their manufacturing site in North East of the UK.

Partnering with both local Director-level stakeholders, as well as sitting within the wider European Leadership Team, you will lead and support their flagship manufacturing plant with the aim of driving the UK HR Agenda.

Reporting into and working closely with both the UK MD and the EMEA HR Director, you will lead a team of 50+ and provide first-class leadership and direction for everything regarding people, talent, engagement, employment and employee relations issues.

As the manufacturing site is continuously evolving, you will need to challenge the business with new ideas and offer creative solutions to complex matters, while investing in developing and evolving long-lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, with the ultimate goal of improving efficiency and ensuring the futureproofing of the organization.

A big focus of this role is the people aspect of HR; driving career pathways and improving talent development possibilities are key to the business.

You will be also directly responsible for proactively nurturing the relationship and managing negotiations with the Trade Union, as well as improving the affiliation by leading collective agreements, including pensions.

You will be deeply passionate and have substantial previous experience in leading big teams, managing and nurturing relationships with Trade Unions, and providing efficiency-focused solutions within global matrix-based organizations. This will be underpinned by having significant and large site manufacturing experience, ideally within an industrial setting.
