Training and Development Manager
My client is a leading provider of premium, modern prime city accommodation across the UK and they are looking to appoint a Training and Development Manager to join their team in the West End with travel across the UK.
As Training and Development Manager you will create and deliver training and development activities that advance employee capabilities and confidence at all levels enabling the business to drive forward and support their ambition to be a great place to work. Key areas will be delivery of soft skills, sales and customer services training and people management skills and whilst all areas are currently supported with external providers as part of this role you will bring them in house where suitable or manage and advise the relationships with such providers. You will be an experienced deliverer of training and happy to get hands on, you will be working with a LMS system and attending senior leadership meetings with the L&D annual training plan and calendar to deliver this. This role will involve travel across the UK bi weekly but based in the West End, a car is not necessary for this role. In addition to the role of training you will also work closely with the HR team on creating a career progression framework alongside skill gap analysis across the employees.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a training and development or learning and development specialist to own and manage a strategy that supports the business through growth by developing its people. You will still enjoy the delivery of training and will have ideally worked in a sales/customer service role. There will be elements of facilities management training around health and safety and mandatory training but the business will put the successful applicant through training where needed. In addition it would be ideal to have experience working with apprentices and supporting as a mentor those employees sponsored to complete qualifications.
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience working in a fast paced customer focused environment where you have worked on the full training lifecycle from concept through to implementation and facilitation. As a training and development specialist you will have worked with LMS platform and will have worked on both traditional and modern training methods (e-learning, on the job training, coaching and workshops) You still be keen on delivery and would be happy to create engaging and commercial training plans for areas within sales and customer service alongside functional skills. With the support of the HR team and current external providers this role would also suit a candidate that is leading on L&D and delivery and is looking for a step up. As a passionate and team driven organisation you will be a team player, work collaboratively and be able to use your initiative to understand business needs and how to align with the training and development strategy.
This role will involve weekly travel across the UK, a car is not necessary as this will be travel via transport organised by the organisation.
