A global Financial Services provider are now looking for a dynamic HRBP who will partner, provide advice and counsel to the business' leaders based in the Channel Islands (Jersey) in support of talent management, succession, Diversity & Inclusion, organizational design, restructuring, change management, employee engagement, leadership and employee development, performance management and reward & recognition.

The successful job holder will align with Executives and business leaders in the planning and execution of overall business strategies, and advise on potential HR solutions, implications and risks of proposed business initiatives, advance and execute the business' HR strategic objectives and people priorities.

We are looking for excellent all round HR Business Partners that have previous experience working in Financial or Professional Services. Candidates will need to be proven relationship builders and have a strong track record of partnering and guiding senior level stakeholders through change as well as having clear leadership qualities.

*It is envisaged that the incumbent would travel to the Channel Islands on regular basis a few times a month (to be discussed) or would relocate to the Channel Islands for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Advance the talent review and succession processes to ensure the most effective use of talent and resources ensuring succession in place for senior/key/critical roles
  • Drive activities to identify and develop high potential and emerging talents deeper into the organisation
  • Partner with business leaders in the planning, development and enablement of an agile, adaptable and highly competent workforce
  • Partner with the HR community to identify emerging market trends and bring that knowledge back to the business in order to successfully plan for short and long term workforce issues and succession requirements
  • Advise on business and best practice strategies to source, retain and develop Human Capital in order to meet business needs
  • In partnership with the Resourcing team recruit senior staff to meet required and approved FTE levels.
  • Promote and embed the Total Rewards philosophy and approach
  • Actively promote Diversity values and the Diversity & Inclusion blueprint. Contribute ideas and implement initiatives with business leaders to move the D&I agenda forward.
  • Analyse data from employee opinion surveys and partner with managers and leaders to align action plans to areas of focus. Enable and hold business groups accountable for execution of action plans.
  • Lead with the business in assessing and strengthening leadership depth and employee capability.
  • Conduct leadership debriefs (incl 360's) and development driving the cultural change for senior talents.
  • Contribute to the annual compensation planning process
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of compensation related programmes for individual business units and segments in partnership with the Compensation team, using sound knowledge of HR policies, standards and practices
  • Ensuring material breach process is adhered to, in conjunction with compensation, HRBPs
  • Reinforce and implement initiatives that will transform organisational culture required to deliver on business strategy.
  • Advise business leaders at initial planning stages and throughout business cycle on potential HR contributions, solutions, implications and risks of proposed initiatives.
  • Design and implement the most effective way to carry out practices for the business/ client group
  • Work in partnership with line management and Employee Relations COE to enable ER to provide advice on complex and sensitive employee cases
  • Lead the business through reorganisations and business resizing, coaching leaders to mitigate the risks to achieve organisational goals.
  • Partner with business leaders to advise on HR/people aspects of all integration/divestiture activities in line with strategy and growth plans
  • Work in partnership with Employee Relations to enable ER to provide advice and guidance on complex issues and aspects
  • Provide leadership and direction in establishing performance management practices/ processes
  • Identify/ heighten awareness/ support management and resolution/ mitigation of people risks in the business.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within a HR Management role in Financial Services
  • Experience of strategic and transactional HR
  • HR relevant qualification
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and partner
