As a team, we maximise resource sharing and enable the delivery of PwC to our clients through line of service and cross line of service staffing, forecasting, utilisation, and workload balance while considering development and diversity initiatives.
About the role
An opportunity has arisen to join the Central regions Audit Resource Management team as a Manager on a secondment or FTC for 12 months, to be based in our Bristol or Cardiff office.
This is an exciting time for Resource Management as we build on the professionalism of our people and work closely with the business to develop and implement PwC business and people strategy. Our central Resource Management (RM) team looks to assist the firm in being more agile and provide the right people on the right projects at the right time.
The Central Audit BU works with a variety of clients across the non-financial sector from FTSE 250 to private businesses, and everything in between. This role will focus on those clients based across our Bristol and Cardiff offices, with a requirement to be visible in both locations each week.
The key responsibilities of this role
Manage a team of 2 direct reports to effectively deploy the Central Audit client-facing population. Optimise headcount, manage/oversee joiners, leavers and secondments, manage utilisation and maintain awareness of the impact deployment decisions have on employee engagement
Deliver the manpower and resourcing plan by having a deep understanding of portfolio growth plans and headcount required to support these; balancing these with the needs of the individual
Build and maintain relationships within the BU and proactively act as an escalation point for conflicts or deployment issues
Conducting regular portfolio reviews to ensure maximum utilisation, development and fair allocation of work for each individual
Provide a suite of Management Information (MI) to forecast revenue, spot trends, make connections and identify opportunities to improve profitability
Share knowledge, best practice and network with your colleagues across the business and Resource Management Function
Engage and promote the use of key resourcing systems including TalentLink, Finder and GFS to enable effective resourcing decisions

Anticipating and recognising when conflict may occur and work to resolve these through supporting and escalating if required
Commercial Acumen and Financial Management
Developing and driving solutions to improve profitability of clients and PwC
Using data and Management Information (MI), networking internally and externally to advise the business on resourcing options and solutions that help to drive growth and profitability
Network internally and externally to understand current trends, best practice and innovations
