Assistant Pensions Manager

Our client, a top-tier global financial services firm, are seeking a technical pensions specialist to join their growing team. Based in an iconic Docklands skyscraper, your role will help to manage risk for billions of pounds worth of assets.

You will help to identify, assess and control risks for the firm's UK DB and DC pension schemes, working closely with the business, suppliers and Trustees. You will also work on a range of projects across the pensions space, and the business are keen to develop your experience and have you work on projects that you haven't been exposed to before. This could be pensions legislation, remediation, valuations, technical operational projects or more.

An understanding of defined benefit pensions is essential as the firm's schemes are relatively complex. Your previous experience of managing financial risk will enable you to make a real impact on the business and hit the ground running, and experience of working on a variety of projects will make you an asset across the function. A pensions or actuarial qualification (full or part-qualified) is highly desirable, however the firm will consider candidates with equivalent experience.
