A Global Financial Services business currently have a Internal Communications Consultant role available to cover a period of maternity (12 months).

This role will be responsible for delivering internal communications and strategic change communication projects aligned to the business and their cultural transformation. Ideal candidates will be an experienced communications specialist skilled at dealing with ambiguity, transformational change and demanding deadlines.

  • An ability to apply a creative lens to internal communications and display a deep knowledge of digital platforms and other internal communication channels
  • Assisting and leading on specific comms projects while managing multiple stakeholders, including exec members
  • Developing and delivering campaign and event comms
  • Developing and supporting a network of global communications contacts
  • Contributing to the creation and delivery of an effective communications service, whilst identifying and resolving potential issues
  • Focus on communication outcomes, eg. defining the desired knowledge and feelings that should arise from comms activity and then designing communications that achieve these outcomes
  • Providing guidance to the business on effective and engaging communications
  • Planning and coordinating comms campaigns
  • Contributing to the creation, delivery and distribution of communications materials
  • Generating fresh communication ideas and solutions that support our business strategy
  • Delivering written copy for internal communications that engages employees
  • Working with agreed suppliers to ensure delivery against plan
  • Contributing to the effective planning and execution of events


  • Experienced internal communications specialist
  • Proven ability in specified core disciplines of communications: writing, design, event organisation, campaign planning, print production, merchandising, digital media
  • Core SharePoint skills- digital media, audio-visual, recording and editing, photo enhancement, graphics and layout, desktop publishing or other technical skills
