Ashley Kate are delighted to be working with a growing company in the East Midlands who have created a new role in compensation and benefits to support initiatives locally and globally.
You must be a creative, adaptable, inspired HR professional with a passion for compensation and benefits. You must have a proven track record of developing and implementing compensation and benefits plans which enhance employee attraction and retention, e.g. job grading frameworks, performance related pay, reward statements and flexible benefits. You will ideally have generalist HR experience as well in order to be able to consider the bigger picture, more specifically, TUPE and/or harmonisation projects. Experience in the pharmaceutical sector would be beneficial. Please note: although this role has a global remit occasional UK travel only.

About the role

This is a new role which has been introduced following a period of sustained growth, primarily through acquisition. The company are now taking a breath and intend to consolidate polices, processes, procedures in place and compensation and benefits will be a key part of this exercise. Based in the UK you will be part of a local and global HR team. Given this role has a global remit you will need to develop relationships with your peers to establish the current status quo and improvements required. You will also be working with third party benefit providers and you will need to support the co-ordination of current schemes, e.g. pension, and guide the provider in relation to the business priorities and explore improvements to enhance the employee experience. This is an ideal role for a compensation and benefits specialist who is ready for progression - to a broader more influential role with global exposure. You will have an active network in your specialist area who you can reach out to share ideas, competitor information and analysis.

As Compensation and Benefits Specialist, you will:
Develop and manage compensation and benefits policies and procedures to provide flexibility
Develop comprehensive plans and recommendations to develop and implement benefit offerings
Manage employee plans, inc. pension, medical, life assurance and other geographical benefits, and the relationship with external benefit providers
Develop proposals for and lead the implementation of:
ojob grade framework
operformance related pay
ototal reward statements
oflexible benefits programme

Provide internal advice on pay decisions, policy interpretation and job evaluation
Work in collaboration with the wider HR team on reward and recognition plans, and other projects
