To manage a HR team within a central London based government department alongside the strategic development of the wider HR People Strategy.
Client Details
Based in London, this government department plays a key role in supporting the central government function across the wider public sector.
Description
As a HR Manager you will lead a team that successfully coach and support managers to be confident in HR practice by offering effective HR advice and ensuring employee relation issues are effectively managed.
Identify business needs and ensure HR services are continually developed to meet the needs of the business, leaders, managers and colleagues.
Lead, manage and motivate the HR Advisory team, ensure their objectives align to strategic delivery.
Support and continually develop the HR Advisory team's professional knowledge and skills, ensuring they keep up to date with best practice HR and employment legislation, and actively own their personal professional development.
Manage the employee life cycle process and work collaboratively with the wider HR team members to make changes and improvements to ensure colleagues have a continual positive experience with the HR function.
Be a visible HR manager within the HR function and wider management team, continually work with stakeholders across all levels to ensure the HR advisory service that is being provided is reactive to business and service needs.
As a HR Manager you may deputise for the Head of HR, as and when required
Profile
The successful candidate will:
Be CIPD qualified
Have enhanced security clearance (CTC or above)
Demonstrate behaviours that align with the Civil Service Code of Conduct and values of central Government
Have a proactive and flexible attitude to HR Management.
Undertake additional duties and responsibilities in line with the overall purpose of your role and as agreed by the HR Director.
