This is a Temporary Legal Secretary position to work for a leading firm within the Hospitality and Catering industry. They are looking for someone to start at the end of October, covering a period of annual leave, however there is possibility for extension. This position is full time based in Watford (parking is available)

Client Details

A global organisation in the Hospitality and Catering industry. The candidate must have previous experience within a Legal Secretary capacity, particularly someone who has experience with drafting and amending contracts.

Description


* Supporting the Vice President & Snr. Counsel EMEA, two legal Counsel, and one paralegal.

* Providing secretarial and administrative support as needed across the Legal Department.

* Diary management and planning, organising calls, meetings and appointments, including all related travel arrangements.

* Creating internal matter numbers and budget records for external lawyers, and monitoring budgets accordingly.

* General correspondence and administration and assisting Records Administration wherever possible.

  • Preparing first drafts of various agreements (including management, franchise, strategic development, and termination agreements)

  • Amending agreements and other documents using redline and comparison software, including maintaining the document trail of drafts.


* Support the wider Legal team to ensure that the team's and other business objectives are successfully delivered.

Profile

  • Previous experience of working within a legal department is required.

  • Conscientious and very discrete when dealing with confidential and sensitive information.

  • Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with key internal and external customers.

  • Advance user skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential. This position involves working with large volume agreements (100/150 page documents), use of automatic indexing functions, complicated layouts, inclusion of imported files with varying formats.

  • Numerically literate.

  • An exceptionally high level of attention to detail is essential (understanding the need for and importance of precision in document production and in making changes and being able to execute on this accordingly).

  • Highly organised and proficient at sorting large quantities of information, with the ability to prioritise and work under time pressure (whether due to internal time demands or different global time zones).

  • Strong administrative and analytical skills.

  • Excellent spelling and grammatical skills.

  • Plans, organises and uses a systematic approach to get things done efficiently and to a high standard.

  • Ability to work alone and as part of a small professional team.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Must be able to start at the end of October and work for at least 6 weeks.
