Regional HR and Organisational Development (OD) Lead, Hertfordshire/North London - Home based

Your new company

A national charity and not-for-profit organisation supporting people with autism, mental health challenges,learning disabilities and complex needs is looking for a home based Regional HR and Organisational Development (OD) Lead/Manager to cover Hertfordshire area.

Your new role

This role is one of three HR & OD Leads covering different regions providing a responsive customer focus service to managers and colleagues. Each Lead has a regional responsibility, an organisational wide HR functional lead, and management of specific projects. Main purpose of the job will be ensuring all aspects of the HR service across the employee life cycle and workforce strategy is delivered to meet business needs and sustainable performance improvement; provide business-focused advice across the employee life cycle including policy and procedures, performance management, employment issues, development needs and best practice; line manage a member of the HR & OD Team.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience of working in the social care sector
  • CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualified with several years of experience in a senior HR role
  • Experience delivering all aspects of employee life cycle including policy and procedures, performance management, employment issues, development needs and best practice
  • Experience of managing a resourcing and recruitment function that attracts, appoints and retains the best people
  • Up to date Employment Law knowledge and Experience of managing complex ER cases and providing advice and support to managers that underpins policies and employment law
  • Experience of working with minimal supervision and guidance. Ability to work autonomously and under pressure from conflicting demands
  • Knowledge of HR systems and IT literacy
