We are now looking for an HR Assistant, to provide support in A shared services approach. Included in the role will be liaison with colleagues at Head Office.

Description

The duties consist of:

HR General:


Support all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests

Keep up to date with Employment law requirements and legislations. Liaise with relevant parties regarding any changes to ensure this is communicated effectively,

Maintain all information systems to ensure they are always fully up to date,

Support Head of UK HR with specific or generic projects, which fall in line with HR processes,

Process all New Starters and Leavers within agreed Terms and Conditions to ensure they follow the correct procedures as per the HR guidelines,

Maintain all absence records, including sick/annual/maternity leave,

Ensure all employee files are correct and up to date. Maintain both systems and HR records,

Handle all data with strict confidentiality in line with GDPR,

Assist with performance management procedures,

Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas,

Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.

Recruitment:


Respond to emails in the recruitment inbox, seek feedback on applications, and set up interviews where required,

Ensure each relevant CV is logged onto Recruitment Portal for hiring managers to review and consider,

Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and hiring managers,

Effectively manage the BPSS process to ensure it is followed as per HR procedures,

Issue employment contracts in a timely fashion,

Plan induction timetables and checklists for all new starters,

Effectively maintain systems/information to ensure all systems/checklists/information are up to date and in line with current Employment Law legislation's.

Training and Development:


Coordinate training sessions and seminars,

Maintain a database of all training needs and completed training.

International:


Liaise with International Mobility Department to assist expatriates coming to the UK;

Checking of monthly modified payroll,

Manage reporting systems/information; ensuring systems are always fully up to date.

Profile

  • Degree educated in HR or other relevant subject (desirable),
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as HR Assistant / Administrator (desirable),
  • Experience of working within the nuclear industry (desirable),
  • CIPD qualified or working towards qualification (desirable),
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Fantastic organisational and time management skills,
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills,
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • Willingness to travel to other offices as and when required,
  • Effective integration with multiple teams,
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines,
  • Meticulous attention to detail,
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions.
