  • This role will be line managed by an Event Manager in the team, reporting ultimately into the Head of Event Management and the Head of Corporate Hospitality and Sponsorship. The role provides an opportunity to work across all lines of service and industries as well as to collaborate with a range of staff.

    Who we're Looking forPwC is looking for an experienced Events, Hospitality and Sponsorship Executive to join the Events Management team within its internal Sales and Marketing function. The Events Management team provides professional event management advice, planning and support for PwC’s client events and large scale Board level internal events as well as delivering the Firm’s corporate hospitality programme.

    The candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of client facing and internal business seminars and conferences as well as a range of hospitality events, including Wimbledon, RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Goodwood Revival, The National Gallery receptions, The Old Vic performance receptions and for managing various hospitality memberships.

    The candidate will also be responsible for managing projects within our current sponsorship programme to ensure each sponsorship is fully activated.

    The role includes liaison with both internal and external clients to ensure that events are run appropriate to the objectives set and in line with the requirements of marketing leadership.

    The role will be mainly located at our Embankment Place office, with the need to be on site at events – including internal office locations and external venues. Some travel may be involved as well as irregular hours (early morning, late evening and some weekend working).

    The candidate must possess excellent organisational, influencing and communication skills in order to be credible and to be able to challenge stakeholders and support a highly successful events, hospitality and sponsorship programme.Event management skills are required with proven experience of managing both large and medium scale events and delivering outstanding experiences.

    In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for

    Event Management
  • Ensuring that clear objectives are agreed for each event with the event sponsor. This will involve gaining an understanding of the campaigns and the strategic positioning of the event within the wider marketing mix for each campaign.

  • Ensuring effective targeting of the event in liaison with the event sponsor, marketing and business development staff.

  • Co-ordinating all elements of the event. This includes sourcing and briefing venues, audio-visual services, other event services suppliers and speakers; ensuring all relevant contractual processes have been carried out; ensuring effective external communication; managing invitation mailings and delegate responses; ensuring effective internal communication and the briefing of internal staff before each event; organising event collateral

  • Coordinating events within agreed schedules and budgets.

  • Attending events to ensure they run seamlessly and that attendees receive the best possible experience, including troubleshooting where issues arise and managing internal staff and 3rd party suppliers during the event.

  • Analysing post-event feedback and attendance and completing ROI summaries after each event.

  • Managing debriefing meetings with internal clients to review event effectiveness and record leads/opportunities and ROI.

  • Corporate Hospitality and Sponsorship
  • Supporting the Head of Corporate Hospitality and Sponsorship to deliver the Corporate Hospitality and Sponsorship Programme in line with the wider Sales and Marketing strategy

  • Supporting in the delivery of large scale and high profile corporate hospitality events.

  • Ticketing for hospitality events, co-ordinating hosting arrangements.

  • Attending events and being responsible for ensuring our clients and PwC Partner hosts receive the best possible experience.

  • Managing some of the hospitality events.

  • Managing some of the hospitality memberships.

  • Researching suitability of current and new venues or hospitality opportunities

  • Financial reporting, providing post event summaries and completing recharges

  • Helping deliver the sponsorship programme which will include reviewing and sponsorship proposals from potential partners to determine if they fit our sponsorship strategy and brand.

  • Managing some of our existing sponsorships to ensure the sponsorship is fully activated.
