Your new role
This could be a great opportunity for an individual that has either previous experience within a HR team or an agency recruiter seeking their first in house role! This is a fixed term contract until the end of April 2020 to start asap!

Working as a part of a high performing talented team, you will work closely with your colleagues to provide a best in class, value added HR service to the organisation, consistently going beyond expectations to enable our people to deliver our clients goals and mission!

You will be the first point of contact for applicants and employees, providing a friendly and professional service, ensuring queries and questions are responding to promptly and escalated when required.

This role supports the entire HR function predominantly recruitment services, and will also include transactional services, on-boarding, inductions, database management etc.

You will be flexible and happy to support with other HR activities, showing dedication, enthusiastic and an ability to work collaboratively within the team. This role provides a real opportunity to make a difference to the organisation, by delivering recruitment services that will have a great impact to our client's overall people strategy.

Key accountabilities

  • First point of contact for all recruitment queries, resolving and escalating where appropriate;
  • Experience of managing an applicant tracking system (ATS), managing roles throughout the life cycle;
  • Act as first line support to employees with queries regarding TA activities, responding promptly and accurately;
  • Following up with Hiring Managers to ensure that all interview / assessment notes are collated;
  • Manage the end to end recruitment process, including support with JD's, questions and occasionally interviews for junior roles
  • First point of contact for all HR queries, resolving and escalating where appropriate
  • Facilitate the on-boarding and induction process for new joiners
  • Complete HR related paperwork including offers, contracts, variations etc.
  • Ensure HR database, employee files and all other dates are accurate and up to date
  • Ensure the HR pages on the intranet, website and jobs sites are up to date and correct
  • Process payroll changes and advise and administer employee benefits
  • Liaise with external providers and raise and complete purchase orders
  • Organising background screening checks (references, DBS, adverse credit checks, employment eligibility and any other safeguarding checks as required)
  • To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required of you in the post.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in an HR role, in particular recruitment or experience within agency recruitment
  • Numerate, accurate and meticulous eye for detail
  • Demonstrable experience of excellent customer service
  • Discrete and confidential, operates with tact and diplomacy
  • Confidence to deal with internal stakeholders and external candidates in a professional manner
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interface credibly with external candidates and senior business leaders
  • Pro-active completer finisher who acts on initiative
  • Good time management and prioritising
  • Positive team player with a genuine desire to help others
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Office)
  • Knowledge of social media in a working context
  • Experience of using a HR database and recruitment portal
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Understanding and interest in HR legislation, GDPR, salary sacrifice, benefits processing, pensions and best practice.
