Job description:

A superb opportunity has arisen with a leading, global brand in search of a HR Manager with strong experience in leading trade union negotiations, leading on key HR projects and who offers blue collar sector experience. This role would ideally suit a strong, resilient profressional who enjoys getting stuck into key challenges and people projects.

Duties:

• Challenge departmental structure, providing recommendations to optimise business area
• Effectively manage the implementation of both Group and UK HR initiatives and priorities
• Act as a coach to senior management to improve the effectiveness team performance
• Develop and facilitate workforce planning, supporting Talent Supply with resourcing activity as required
• Influence the development of HR policies and processes to ensure that they meet the needs of the business
• Lead complex ER casework when required
• Management of absence across area of responsibility
• Proactive management of local Trade Union relationships
• Facilitate active succession and development plans
• Work with Talent Development to ensure development plans, with L&D interventions, are in place for everyone
• Ensure performance management process is in place and operating effectively
• Develop managers with skills, tools and techniques to manage change and employee issues
• Ensure on boarding process fit for purpose, supporting new starters to be productive as quickly as possible
• Reporting and interpreting key HR statistical information
• Promotes and instils MMI behaviours across all levels of the function


Key skills & experience


• CIPD qualified Level 7 or relevant experience operating in a HR Manager position (3 years+)
• Restructuring experience and associated projects tasks e.g. change readiness, leadership engagement, communications, assessment & selection, redundancy, embedding change, etc.
• Understanding and experience of implementing successful learning & development interventions across varied role profiles;
• Employee engagement; building culture, culture change management and embedding culture;
• Strong ER capability with a working knowledge of TUPE (not essential)
• Thomas International/MBTI/NLP qualification (not essential)
• Experience working in a business partner/matrix structure
• Inquisitive and challenging individual that is able to build trust, respect and openness
• Proven experience of leading HR project workstreams
• High learning agility and strong ability to work with a high degree of ambiguity
