An exciting new Senior HRBP role is available in a specialist investment management business based in the City. Reporting to the HRD, you will partner senior stakeholders in two front office client groups whilst having oversight of HR across the organisation and mentoring the HRBP and HR Advisor.

 

This is a role that requires proactive, commercially driven engagement with senior stakeholders helping to shape their thinking around business growth and people planning. You will act as an enabler, supporting due diligence, challenging and collaborating across the HR remit. The headcount may be small but this is a very entrepreneurial business that requires experience of facilitating growth and strategy as well as a broad generalist skill set.

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

Oversee the organisation wide focus on talent management and development, including the facilitation of the relevant business areas talent, succession and capability planning activity

 

Lead the annual cycle of people activity, including pay review; performance calibration and employee survey

 

Support the delivery of the learning and development strategy

 

Set a framework and relevant people metrics for the business unit

 

Ensure that HR solutions within the Business units represent an appropriate balance between external market practice and internal policy and practice.

 

Ensure that individual and team performance across the business units are owned and managed by the business line and facilitate/drive where necessary, a move towards a high performing organisation

 

With the support of the Reward Centre of Excellence, develop and implement appropriate reward strategies for the divisions and relevant business.

 

Ensure Employee Relations within the Business Unit is managed appropriately for the division and entities

 

Engage with Business partners / joint ventures so that synergies are sought and to ensure that there is effective oversight or HR risk and practices.

 

 

Requirements:

 

Experience of constructing appropriate HR strategies for different business areas, influencing senior leaders on HR matters and linking this to business strategy.

 

Experience of working as an HBRP in financial services, ideally investment management. Additional exposure to real estate investment management would be a bonus

 

Experience of dealing with start-ups and developing the appropriate HR plans, strategies and infrastructure

 

Experience of recruiting and developing high performance leadership teams

 

Understanding of Reward methodologies relevant to Asset Management e.g. LTIP and buyouts etc

 

Understanding of people development methodologies, change management models and how to successfully lead people through change

 

Sound understanding of employment law, generic HR policies and procedures

 

Experience of leading organisational change with a focus on business re-organisation

 

Exposure to the people aspects of mergers and acquisition including TUPE.

 

CIPD or management qualification preferred
