Ashley Kate HR & Finance are pleased to be partnering exclusively with one of the leading development and humanitarian organisations on a 12 month Deputy Director of People & Culture role. Operating globally this organisation is one of the most highly regarded in its field and they pride themselves on being truly guided by values and are looking for a senior HR professional to join them in driving this forward.
Reporting directly to the CEO this role will be key in developing a people strategy that enables the best service to both the business, partners and other subsidiaries. You will be responsible for developing effective policies and process to enable efficient commercial planning. You will need to provide strategic leadership and direction to support to wider organisation and you will be responsible for strengthening relations within the internal and external community. Working alongside the Senior Management team you will provide expert HR advice and have direct budgetary responsibility. You will need to lead, facilitate team work and a learning conducive environment within the department. You will support and develop both the UK and International HR Manager and you will oversee the development and improvements on HR systems for reporting sharing information across the organisation.
You will need to ensure that directors and managers are trained and supported on Employee Relations and tribunals and provide solutions in line with legal requirements and best practice. You will also be the advocate across development, health and well being. As a senior manager you will contribute to continuous learning, change and improvement processes and contribute to the overall organisational and divisional strategy.
You will be involved in contributing to operational monthly meetings and pulling together detailed reports and proposals for senior management.
Deputy Director of People & Culture - About you.
- It is essential you have a sound knowledge of UK employment law and are CIPD qualified at Chartered of Fellow level or equivalent.
- Proven experienced of HR Business partnering within a large organisation.
- The ability to respond and adapt to a dynamic and changing environment.
- You will need to have a track record of policy development and implementation.
- Demonstrative experience in consultative approaches to innovative approaches.
- High level of competence across all aspects of managing employee relations.
- Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Happy to undertake a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
- Ideally you will have worked with a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds.
- A working knowledge of French, Arabic or one of the Indian subcontinental languages would be helpful.
