Job Details
This is a key dual site position and the successful Employee Relations Advisor will be tasked with a wide range of ER cases across the 24/7 businesses. Due to the nature of the business, you must be flexible with your working hours in order to be considered for this role, as well as drive and own a car to allow you travel between two sites.

A leading third party logistics and supply chain solutions provider in the UK and Ireland. This company works in industry sectors as diverse as milk, defence, energy, retail, consumer goods and construction, supporting every stage of development and adding value through their supply chain expertise.
Description
This person will report into the HR Manager, therefore your relationship with this person is very important! You will also have an HR Coordinator reporting directly in to you.
The key responsibilities for this Employee Relations Advisor are varied, but WILL include the following:
- Partnering with Line Managers and Senior Managers, offering a professional and pragmatic ER service that is customer and commercially focused
- Lead, mentor and develop the Site Management Teams in relation to all ER matters (including grievances, flexible working and capability issues)
- Provide positive input to the policy review process - highlighting any areas that need change, amendments or developing
- Proactive in the development and delivery of a continuous training programme, working in conjunction with HR Team to upskill line managers in ER matters
- Reports on ER matters and metrics for a wide number of stakeholders
- The role will be primarily based in Charlton, but will require regular travel to Greenford.
Profile
The successful candidate for this Employee Relations Advisor position MUST be open to varied working hours as you will be joining a 24/7 business with no fixed working pattern. Aside from this non-negotiable matter, this company are looking for the following:
EXPERIENCE
* CIPD or equivalent experience
* Had at least one direct report before
* Managed high volume ER case loads (inc. grievances and disciplinaries)
* Worked in a fast paced environment (preferred)
* Logistics and/or Distribution background
* Managed a variety of senior stakeholders
SKILLS
* Working knowledge of HR best practice
* Coaching mindset
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal), especially in relation to simplifying ER terms when reporting to Line Managers
* Understanding of current legislation
