A global Financial Services business based in Central London are now looking for a HR Operations Exec. The HR Operations Executive will be the most senior person in the HR team responsible for HR Operations and visa requirements. These are both critical areas for the business underpinning the HR team's ability to provide leading-edge HR in London and our overseas offices. The role will have oversight of the implementation of other HR processes in collaboration with the wider team. This role will have one direct report.

We are looking for experienced HR Operations candidates that have proven oversight of a HR functions activity across the employee lifecycle. Visa/mobility experience is also essential for this highly desirable role.

Responsibilities

  • Leading on all HR Operational activities and process improvement within the Employee Life Cycle including the joiner mover leaver (JML) processes and maintaining the data in the HRIS

  • Supporting the relevant HR leads with activities within their areas where appropriate including process improvement

  • Resourcing, Annual HR activities (salary review, bonus, promotions & progressions, performance development & assessment) and Employee Relations

  • Run the Immigration and Visa process and authorisation (for workers coming to and in the UK, not those on global assignments)

  • Key contact / level 1 user for the sponsor management system

  • Overall management/oversight of the end to end process; liaison (as required) with our immigration advisor; responsibility for adherence to Home Office requirements; implementing appropriate checks, tracking and audit processes as required; and providing training and education to the wider HR team

  • Ownership of Senior Manager & Certificate Regime (SM&CR) compliance

  • Management of HR Records strategy, including GDPR, document retention and purging

  • Work with our HRIS executive to prepare and release multiple reports to our internal teams and stakeholders

  • Monthly payroll checks and sign off on documentation passed to payroll

  • Audit processed data and documents raised by the HR Ops Specialist

  • Ad hoc support for the team on operational issues

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Passion for accuracy and process improvement

  • Someone who will enjoy working in a busy team and dealing with multiple stakeholders.

  • Someone who enjoys multi-tasking and working on various items at once

  • CIPD or relevant post graduate qualifications desirable

  • A background in HR Operations - ideally in Financial Services however Professional Services considered

  • Experience of leading and running visa and immigration processes

  • Experience and ability to manage relationships with external consultants

  • Experience of process design and improvement

  • Has an analytical mindset and strong critical reasoning ability.

  • Articulate and able to communicate effectively

  • Able to build strong and effective relationships with all stakeholders

  • Is confident, with the ability to persuade, obtain agreement and cooperation from all stakeholders in a 'win-win' fashion

  • Takes a collaborative approach, with own team and the wider employee community

  • Has the drive to achieve objectives to a high quality, on time and on budget - a completer finisher

  • Able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple work streams simultaneously in a complex and fast-moving environment

  • Demonstrates strong administration skills, capable of organising self and teams to meet agreed deadlines; able to push back when necessary

  • Is able to reframe the situation positively when things don't go as planned, to bounce back from set-backs, taking a proactive approach to look for solutions rather than problems
