Help us protect workers across the UK, take on exciting, demanding projects and shape the future of safety in the workplace with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

At HSE, we work with one goal in mind – to help keep Britain’s workforce safe. We are the independent regulator for work-related health and safety in Great Britain, and our work touches virtually every sector of UK industry. Combining experts from every field, we strive to keep people and their working environments as healthy and secure as possible.

As an Occupational Health Inspector, you’ll make sure employers safeguard their worker’s health across a range of essential industries. The role is an excellent opportunity to broaden your knowledge and skills but also add crucial experience to your record. You’ll investigate and assess companies to control health risks and make sure they comply with the law, while providing expert advice and developing policy for the sector at large. You’ll also work alongside other HSE colleagues and instruct team members on legal requirements and best practice.

This role is highly specialised and technical, so you’ll need to demonstrate considerable experience in occupational health. Strong stakeholder management skills and analytical skills are also essential, along with decision-making under pressure and be able to create detailed reports. You should also be a registered specialist community public health nurse in occupational health (SCPHN - formerly part 3 of the NMC Register) and hold a full UK driving license.

With HSE, you can help protect thousands of workers in the UK while broadening your experience and taking advantage of exceptional training. Find out more about the role or apply today.
