Oakleaf Partnership is currently recruiting for an Employee Relations Specialist in partnership with a global banking provider. The ER Team is responsible for managing all individual employee relations issues in the UK. The Operations team is responsible for end to end management of UK grievance, disciplinary, redundancy/flexible working request appeals, ethical complaints (where appropriate), associated Data Protection Act Subject Access Requests (SARs) and alternative dispute resolution interventions in close liaison with HR Business Partners and business managers. This role will partner with the business and HR in order to provide an excellent case management service to the organisation. Strong employment rights knowledge is essential to be a success in the position as is experience within a large, matrix reporting structured business. Case ManagementDrive resolution of individual employee issues from initiation to closure by determining and coordinating appropriate processEnsure the appropriate control function stakeholders are engaged and adherence to the Global Disciplinary Policy where appropriateProvide dispute resolution policy information, expectation management and timely updates to all those involved in the issue including the party(ies) themselves, their managers and HR Business PartnersLiaise with internal and external legal counsel and Occupational Health where appropriateLiaise with the appropriate teams in order to manage any SARs related to managed casesCoordinate all written communications with parties involved in investigations, hearings and appealsTrack issues from start to finish and maintain appropriate databasesIdentify and highlight any trends which may require further action and engage with relevant parties in order to address themes/issues InvestigationsTimely investigation of issues including; background research, conducting investigation interviews with all parties and producing comprehensive and clear investigation reports on investigation findings Hearings and AppealsSupport Business Reviewers who chair formal hearings and appealsProvide advice and support on process / precedent to Business Reviewers involved in grievance and disciplinary hearings and appealsLiaise with Business Partners to ensure recommendations / sanctions are addressed EMEA Investigations into HR Ethical Concerns - Partnering with Regional InvestigatorsProvide advice and guidance to regional HR professionals assigned to investigate HR ethics cases to ensure cases are handled in accordance with the ethics protocol ensure high quality reports are provided to the global Ethics Office with any recommendations actioned raise capability and effectiveness (where necessary) of regional investigatorsInvestigate EMEA HR ethics concerns, as appropriate, in accordance with the ethics protocol EMEA ER ProjectsParticipate in the identification and delivery of ER projects within EMEA to improve the policy framework, increase ER knowledge within the ER team and expand ER capability within EMEA
