Description

Role of the Pensions and Benefits Manager:

Pensions

  • Oversee the Defined Contribution (DC) and Defined Benefit (DB) plans, ensuring that guidelines and processes are created and followed and that accurate records are kept.

  • Lead the respective DC pension governance committee meetings for each business area and look for opportunities to align the pension plans across the Group with respect to governing frameworks, procedures, providers and advisers.

  • Interpret pension change legislation changes and review and amend the Group's pension policies and administrative processes accordingly.

  • Review the Group's existing approach to pensions for high earners in line with changes in the annual budget and changes in the Corporate Governance Code, and in line with any emerging market trends. If necessary, revise policy and communicate changes to impacted staff.

  • Support Group Treasury on the monitoring of, and managing, DB liabilities.

  • Lead pension communication programmes across the Group, tailoring messages based on audience segmentation.

Benefits

  • Responsible for developing and overseeing the management and administration of all core and voluntary benefit schemes across the Group, ensuring processes and procedures are created and followed and accurate records are kept

  • Interpret legislation changes and update any necessary benefit schemes accordingly and serve as the lead point of contact for HR and the business on technical benefits matters, compliance and non-standard cases.

  • Conduct an annual brokering exercise of risk benefits and private medical to ensure that incumbent providers are maintaining a competitive offering

  • Manage the annual renewal process for suppliers for risk benefits and private medical insurance and work with Finance to ensure benefits are properly budgeted for on an annual basis

  • Project manage the annual voluntary benefits enrolment window and work with IT and HR Operations to ensure data feeds effectively flow between HRIS, payroll and suppliers, and that supplier invoices are being processed, reconciled and paid.

  • Manage relationships with benefits providers and brokers to ensure an effective relationship and smooth service provision.

Experience required:

- Must have strong DC and DB Pensions experience

- Good experience working with benefits
