Due to an internal promotion an exciting opportunity for a true Talent Acquisition Specialist and Manager has opened up in the Basingstoke based corporate head office function for this National, leading logistics and transportation business.

This role is a mixture of managing the TA team, assisting with recruitment projects and strategic planning.

Description

The Talent Acquisition Manager has responsibility for delivering the strategy that supports the growth of the business and helps position as an employer of choice, attracting the best talent.

You will deliver best in class recruitment approaches that are aligned with the company brand, ensuring an effective internal/external pipeline to meet current and future business needs.

The Talent Acquisition Manager's primary focus will be:

 Ongoing planning and development of the management recruitment strategy and process.

 Attraction and recruitment of the top external talent into the business.

 Identifying the appropriate routes to market, to ensure KPI's are met.

 Ongoing development of their team, and support of their peers.

 Design and delivery of recruitment materials that support our core values.

 Appropriate and consistent communication to the business regarding all recruitment activity.

 External talent pipelining activity to support leadership succession plans.

 Production, monitoring and interpretation of MI to identify key trends.

Your responsibilities

 Facilitate and lead key initiatives and projects with recruiting, stakeholders and hiring partners

 Provide mentorship, guidance and career development to the TA team

 Developing a holistic view of the organisation and its management structure, to pre-empt potential recruitment and have a pre-planned course of action.

 Working closely with senior business leaders and the board to understand their future business planning and any new business, to ensure that an appropriate man power plan is developed and delivered.

 Liaising with Local HR teams to keep up to date with current vacancies and potential future requirements.

 Consistently reviewing the routes to market that are used, in order to ensure that the business is ahead of market trends and targeting the right people for the right roles.

 Building awareness of the high potential talent elsewhere in our industry sector, and establishing pipelines to bring that talent into the business.

 Working closely with the Head of Capability and Succession, in order to understand the current level of business potential and our internal succession plans.

 Regularly reviewing recruitment approach and process with a focus on continuous improvement.

 Reviewing the recruitment materials to be used for each vacancy and checking that it is fit for purpose.

 Leadership and development of the Recruitment Team.

 Overseeing and guiding the Recruitment Team in terms of designing and writing job adverts.

 On-going management and development of the Applicant Tracking System.

 Management of the PSL and, where needed, liaising with selected recruitment agencies.

 Providing interview coaching and training to line managers and internal candidates.

 Ensuring that their team are organising and facilitating assessment centres.

 Providing candidates with appropriate and constructive feedback.

 Providing advice and support to stakeholders and other colleagues on the best methods of attraction and the recruitment process.

 Supporting the team with candidate offers and assisting in the production of offer letters.

 Taking the initiative to be involved in wider business / HR projects.

 Monitoring and tracking of all recruitment activity, to ensure that

 Delivery of an end to end recruitment lifecycle

 Demonstrable success in influencing stakeholders at a senior level to adopt appropriate recruitment strategies to support the business agenda, using a variety of influencing styles, insight & expertise

 Experience leading and developing an internal Recruitment function and a team

 A clear understanding of modern recruitment principles.

 Excellent communication, relationship building and people management skills.

 A good balance between demonstrating a strategic approach, coupled with the willingness and enthusiasm to undertake the more transactional day to day recruitment activity.

 The ability to coach and mentor others.

Profile

We are looking for a true TA specialist who can be the subject matter expert for the business and is passionate about succession planning and finding new and innovative routes to market.

An expert in External Brand development and positioning this company as an Employer of choice.

This role is both strategic and hands on, so you will be required to manage a team of 4 as well as well as sharpening the focus on the recruitment of executive level management roles across Logistics, Supply Chain and Warehouse Managers and how to improve pipeline talent at the Early Stage and Entry level.
