UK Payroll Specialist £40k to £45k + Bonus - City

A leading global Investment Firm seek an experienced UK Payroll Specialist.

This is a great opportunity to work in a team of 2 and own your payroll offering outright by being the subject matter expert for all payroll and benefits questions and queries.

The role is as follows:

Work with external payroll vendor, process company's payroll for both UK employees and UK Pensioners'

Maintain & prepare payroll data by working closely with internal departments in data gathering, calculating, and inputting data

Manage salary sacrifice benefit schemes, such as, Childcare Vouchers, GAYE, Cycle to Work & SIPP, ensuring proper handling of taxable & NIable wages with guidance where needed

Prepare and distribute all UK year end filings and forms, including P60s and P11Ds

Accurate payroll processing and reporting of multiple share schemes, as directed by share plan team as appropriate

Ensure that the UK payroll is in compliance with the local regulatory requirements & SOX controls, adhering to our defined policies and procedure.

Support and participate in SOX and other local audits as needed working with payroll management

Work with payroll vendor ensuring that all required submissions and filings to the Revenue are timely and accurate, including monitoring of the company's Revenue account & resolving issues

Work with & provide necessary support to IT/Project Managers on system enhancements

Provide collaborative support to HR and other teams on payroll matters when required, while maintaining open communications with the teams and payroll management

Answer staff questions about wages, deduction

Communicate with employees, other teams and management with professionalism

Calculate Maternity Leave pay (& leave balance pay outs) accurately

Data entry as required in HR & Payroll Systems

Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in payroll records with guidance

Perform regular reconciliations with guidance from payroll management

Identify and share system and process enhancement opportunities, collaboratively working with teams & management

Honour confidentiality of employees' pay records

Possess knowledge and ability to calculate PAYE & NI taxes

Responsible for the P45 generations & issuance

Other:

Significant experience of direct UK payroll

Experience in working with outsourced payroll vendor

SAP experience is beneficial

Certification in local or global payroll is beneficial, but not required

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
