This Payroll manager role will be managing one part time staff member and therefore be required to be hands on processing the payroll and assisting on escalated payroll queries. Working alongside the finance and HR teams this Hemel Hempstead based role is in the manufacturing and production industry, offering a great place to work with stability and social distancing in place

My Client are a leading international Manufacturing and production organisation with a strong and long standing footing in Hemel Hempstead where they are based. Description

The Payroll Manager will have the following tasks to ensure the accurate & timely processing of the weekly and monthly payrolls.

  • Responding to the payroll queries & ensuring compliance
  • Assist in preparing the weekly payroll & liaising with all levels of employees
  • Complying with payroll timescales & policies at all times
  • Dealing with all payroll queries from employees & contractors
  • Involved in all aspects of administering and processing PAYE weekly and monthly payrolls of a few hundred staff across multiple sites
  • Be responsible for one direct report
  • Supporting HR with any Contracts, starters & leavers & ad hoc administration

Profile

The successful Payroll Manager will work alongside the finance and HR teams with the ideal candidate having Manufacturing and production industry experience along with being confident in manual processing of payroll from start to finish to effectively lead the team

* Being confident in manual processing of payroll from start to finish
* MCIPP or CIPP Qualification
* Strong computer skills- including excel
* Can work under pressure and the ability to work independently & deliver strong results
