Are you a swiftly/immediately available senior learning development and engagement specialist ready for a new fixed term role? Does a strategic role in an ambitious business with a positive growth agenda appeal? Do you have experience of Workday or Success Factors learning management systems?

Our confidential FTSE 250 client is a rapidly growing West Midlands based business. Employing c550 people across the UK, it's an undisputed leader in its field. Being an Employer of Choice in its highly competitive market is key to its continued success.

As the business reflects on the events of recent months and refines its strategy for the future, it recognises that a focus on Learning, Development and Engagement across its three very different business divisions is going to be a key driver in delivering competitive advantage.

In what some might see as a traditional sector, this is a business which wants to challenge the norm, be highly creative in its development offering and engagement approach and quite simply leapfrog its competitors.

Reporting into the Group HRD this is a "blank sheet of paper" strategic opportunity in a business you can get your arms around and where you make a significant impact. They are financially very stable and are going to be one of the post Covid-19 success stories. They are a modest, community-focused and values-led organisation where collaboration is key and politics non-existent.

There is no team in place (yet!) so when we say you'll need to roll up your sleeves from day one, we really mean it. There's plenty to get your teeth into and these are exciting and positive times!

Whilst experience of working in their specific sector is not essential, it would be fabulous if candidates could demonstrate creativity across a dispersed and multi-site work force. Having said that, a background in construction would be absolutely perfect!

From a personal perspective, we're looking for a collaborative individual with strong influencing skills. You'll have the gravitas and credibility to be quickly valued by the senior management team.

The Head office is based just south west of Birmingham and while there will be some flexibility over location, you'll probably want to spend c 3 days a week in the office, in the future. Our client's preference is for the successful candidate to join on a fixed term basis, initially. In the longer term the expectation is for the contract to become permanent,

If you have experience in developing and implementing both Learning and Development and Employee Engagement strategies and can bring new ideas and solutions then we're keen to hear from you and tell you more.
