Client Details

A highly successful retail business which is continuing to grow throughout and despite the Covid-19 pandemic, my client is opening another 40 stores nationwide, and this is their largest distribution centre in the country, servicing 250 stores.

Description

Partnering with the General Manager, reporting to the Head of HR for DCs, and managing a team of HR Advisors and Administrators, you will have full responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of HR across the full employee lifecycle.

Responsibility will include:

  • Developing people plans including proactive succession planning
  • Driving employee engagement to improve retention rates and reduce attrition
  • Lead high-volume resourcing including effective onboarding and induction
  • Supporting line managers to effectively lead and manage their teams succesfully
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law
  • Effective management of a team of HR advisors and administrators
  • Acting as point of escalation for more complex ER casework

Profile

* Distribution / warehouse / transport experience is an absolute must for this role
* Experience of leading small-medium HR teams and headcounts in excess of 1,000
* High-energy, enthusiastic individual who thrives in fast-paced environments where no two days are the same
* Exceptional communication skills across all business levels

Job Offer

  • Salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum with possible flex for an exceptional candidate that ticks every box
